Required Skills:
 Responsible for shift-wise allocation of job and keeping track of performance
 To inspect the incoming materials against the defined standards
 To plan and implement the preventive maintenance schedule
 To improve the response time to breakdowns
 To monitor spares consumption against the budget
 To track minimum stock level and update from the history card analysis
 To follow-up with Purchase for delivery of spares requirements and other items
 To co-ordinate with Stores for smooth flow of materials to shop-floor
 To monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and initiate
re-ordering when necessary
 To liaise with Government authorities like GEB and electrical inspectors
 To be a part of daily production meeting
 To ensure that all statutory requirement relating to the maintenance department are met at all
times
Continuous Improvement
 Communicate hold-ups due to unavailability of items or any other reasons to Sores/Purchase
 To review the operation of plant equipment and system constantly to minimise unplanned
downtime
 To identify and propagate use of quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc.
